Running is a metaphor for life. There will be good days and bad days. Dealing with adversity in sport with grace and gratitude is directly related to success in life. Attitude is everything. – Kathy Fleming

I look forward to working with you!

Kathy has been involved with the sport of track and field and cross country for over thirty five years. Her experience ranges from a high school level athlete to an Olympic and World Class level athlete. She graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and was a 7-time NCAA All-American in Cross Country and Track and Field. Kathy’s coaching experiences began in 1994 as an assistant coach for the mid-distance and distance runners at Boston College until 2003 and at Wellesley College from 2004-2006. Now as a coach and developer of recreational running classes, Kathy enjoys teaching the fundamentals of the sport. She also coaches an all women’s USATF running club called Suburban Striders, as well as coaches the girls distance runners at Natick High School in the winter and spring seasons. Kathy had been involved with Natick Cross Country as a volunteer, consulting and advising about training for the distance runners for years before her official coaching role started in 2020.  She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and reading and will complete her Masters degree this winter from Georgetown University.
