The Natick boys had a terrific start to the season with a 60-39 victory against Brookline in our first track meet in the reconfigured Bay State Conference.  After decades competing in the “small school” Herget Division, Natick is now in the “North” Carey Division.  Other teams in the division are Brookline, Newton North, Wellesley, and Framingham.

Winning performances included Nick Melisi in the the mile with a PR of 4:49.83.  Joey Maichen in the 600 with a PR of 1:28.97.  Grady Beauregard won the 300 in a very fast 37.73 and Austin Kay and Jeremy Allik went 1-2 in the 55dash with 7.03 and 7.06 respectively.

Matty George won the 2 mile with an indoor PR of 10:12.10 and Daniel Bartlett won the high jump at 5’4″.  Matt Hodges won the shot put at 38’6.25″ and Danny Dubsky won the 55 hurdles at a very fast for this part of the season 8.15 secs.

Pat McQuillen, Jeremy Allik, Danny Dubsky and Austin Kay ran a terrific 1:37.62 to win the 4×200.

Our first JV meet is at Milton this Wednesday evening.  Our next varsity meet is at the Reggie Lewis Center on Thursday against Braintree.
